Hi! My name is Ryan Sleights and I am a media student / broadcaster based in North East England.

In 2020/2021, I started laying down groundwork for what later would become RSTV Broadcasting.
What I thought initially was a home project had soon started to become a main piece of my life, and without me launching it, I would not be where I am today. When I launched RSTV Radio, as a primary brand which contains RSTV Dance, which is the radio station that had started in 2021.

My primary role within RSTV Broadcasting is "Network Director" and soon after I had took this role we adopted the term "Built for What's Next."
We adopted this tagline because it describes our company as being designed around where broadcasting is going, rather than us trying to replicate how Radio & TV networks historically used to operate.

I chose the level 2 media course because I wanted to apply the knowledge and skills I have obtained via operating things such as RSTV Broadcasting.

- Music
Music is a massive part of my life, and it has been ever since I was young. My favourite artists vary a lot, depending on what mood I am in that particular day. This could range from anywhere between Sub Focus to Adele.
My favourite genre might have to be either House or Drum N Bass, however it is so hard to pick one because of how much I adore that type of genre, you could either get something like High Contrast or something more slower like Moby.
Music is also very prominent in my role on radio, where I can curate and play everything in the genre of dance.

News has always been one of my biggest interests throughout growing up, most particularly Television & Radio news.
The way that news media is built, produced and presented really fascinates me, and it has fascinated me for a very long time.

I am on the level 2 media course because I want to gain the necessary qualifications in order to make my brand bigger, and to expand my brand into more markets. Another big reason I get motivated is because I want to see me and my team do well.

Specific - Learn everyones names in the class
Measurable - I will try to remember at least 1 name per day
Attainable - This task is simple
Relavant - This will help me remember names for when I have to work with people
Time-Based - I have set myself this goal to complete within the next 3 weeks.

Meaasurable - I will try and do learn every week

Relavant - This will help me if I ever do Outside Broadcasts (OBs) or In-Vision News Bulletins
Time-Based - I have set myself the goal of the next 3 months.
